Note: Babcock Hall underwent a complete renovation in the summer of 2014! Renovations included a new entry lobby, new restrooms and showers, individual room climate controls, new lounge spaces, new study rooms, renovated laundry and kitchen spaces, new furniture and upgraded air handling systems for more fresh air – plus new paint and carpet throughout.
Babcock is a three-story residence hall for women who are very fun, very lively and very active on campus. Rooms in Babcock tend to be a little larger than other dorm rooms on campus. Residents participate in sports, sororities and many other on-campus activities.
Most rooms are 15'6" x 13'7" (210 sq. ft.), although there are one or two rooms per floor that are slightly smaller.
Babcock Hall is air conditioned and includes the free use high efficiency washers and dryers (no begging for quarters!).
You'll also find lounges and common areas with comfy couches and chairs and large-screen TVs for hanging out with friends.
There's wifi throughout, access to kitchen space and if you have pressing issues, there are irons and ironing boards.
Rooms in Babcock include:
- Extra-long twin beds (36 inches by 80 inches); beds can be lofted, bunked or left down
- Two dressers
