History with Hastings College
I graduated from Hastings College in 2002 with degrees in English Literature and Speech Communications. I began working for HC in September of 2010. Prior to working for HC, I earned my MA in Literary Studies from the University of Denver. Prior to graduate school, I worked in marketing for the software industry.

Why I chose to attend Hastings
I chose to attend Hastings College because of the friendliness, diverse opportunities, and sense of community I experienced when visiting campus.

Hobbies and Interests
I love to experience live music—from concerts at Red Rocks to musicals at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. I also love to read and discuss books with others.

Favorite thing about Hastings College
My favorite thing about Hastings College was the possibility to be involved in activities and organizations in addition to those associated with my major. I was able to pursue my passion in theatre, music, and peer education, while still being active in the English and Communications departments.

Favorite place on campus
My favorite place on campus is the oldest building, McCormick Hall.

Most memorable class
The most memorable class at Hastings was my favorite college class, “Contemporary Fiction” with Rich Lloyd. It was the class that solidified I was going to be an English major.

My favorite thing to do in Hastings is visit all of the people and places that hold near and dear memories of my college days.

Favorite place to eat in Hastings
The Back Alley Bakery is a fabulous place for good food and treats!

Best thing about being a Bronco
The best thing about being a Bronco is the lifelong friendships and relationships formed in and out of the classroom because of the environment Hastings College fosters.

Hidden talent
I like to sing and play the piano. Although, I’m not so sure either is a talent or very hidden!

Best meal I can cook
I like to bake delicious desserts.

People would be surprised to know that…
I studied abroad in Cork, Ireland, the first semester of my senior year at Hastings College. I can’t wait to go back and visit some day.
