  • Doug Stowe of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, recently celebrated his 40th year as a professional woodworker with the release of three new woodworking books: Build 25 Beautiful BoxesTiny Boxes, and Making Classic Toys that Teach. Additionally, Doug teaches woodworking for grades 1-12 at Clear Springs School in Eureka Springs; during the summer months and on weekends, he teaches adults at various craft schools and woodworking clubs throughout the United States, and is a founder of the Eureka Springs School of the Arts.   • Linda "Jayne" DeHaan lives in Seattle, Washington.  Jayne recently celebrated her 40th year as a Real Estate Broker; she currently works for Re/Max Metro Realty, Inc. and is a member of the Re/Max Platinum Club and Re/Max Hall of Fame. (Submitted 5/31/16)

  • Donaciano and Mercy Garcia live in Kingwood, Texas.  Donaciano is a Law Enforcement Consultant with Engility Corporation in Chantilly, Virginia. (Submitted 5/25/16)  
1975
  • Jim and Teresa Ansley live in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  Jim has recently taken a position as Department Head for the Natural Resource Ecology and Management Department at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Prior to moving to OSU, Jim was a Regents Professor of Rangeland Ecology with Texas A&M University, and says Hastings College and the faculty in the Biology Department at the time (G. Adrian, C. Springer, etc.) were key in his decision to pursue a career in natural resource ecology and management. (Submitted 5/20/16)
1976
  • Arlen and Mary Langvardt live in Bloomington, Indiana.  Arlen received the Trustees Teaching Award at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, where he serves as Professor of Business Law.  His 2015 article on copyright issues was published in the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. His 2016 article on product liability issues will appear in the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology. Arlen and Mary have two children, Kyle (33) and Tara (Langvardt) Linkner (30), and one grandchild, Annie Linkner (8 months). (Submitted 5/13/16)
  • Rev. Dr. Jimmy and Carol Shelbourn live in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Jimmy retired after 31 years of service as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Beatrice, Nebraska, and is now a part-time Parish Associate at Westminster Church in Lincoln. (Submitted 9/26/16)
  • Dr. Stephen and Stephanie (Tolliver) '78 Stripe live in Minot, North Dakota.  Stephen has been promoted to Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency at the University of North Dakota in Minot. (Submitted 9/27/16)
1977
  • Dr. Lorrie (Aubert) and Sam Bryant live in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Lorrie retired from her full-time clinical child therapy practice at the end of 2015 and continues to complete occasional psychological evaluations and work part-time managing the business side of Sam's plastic surgery office.  Lorrie also enjoys spending more time with her grandchildren and playing with their new Manchester Terrier puppy, Tilly, and reports that her days are much more relaxed!   • Commander Robert and Lisa McDowell live in Green Cove Springs, Florida.  Bob retired after 22 years as a civil engineer corps officer in the Navy and now works works as a civilian for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast as director of real estate. (Submitted 10/1/16)

  • Janice Wagner lives in Aurora, Nebraska.  Janice retired on September 30, 2016, after a 27-year career with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. (Submitted 9/30/16)
  • Shaun (Aftonomos) and Joe James live in Omaha, Nebraska.  Shaun is an attorney with the firm of Smith, Slusky, Pohren & Rogers, L.L.P. in Omaha, where her focus is on real estate transactions, property valuations, and small businesses.  Shaun received the 2015 Nebraska Humane Society's Volunteer of the Year award for 10-plus years of volunteer services in the animal medical department.  Shaun and Joe have three children, Daniel (30), Alex (27), and Katie (25), and one grandson, Logan (3).
