An instructor of flute, Deb also teaches music theory, woodwind methods, Introduction to Music and is director of the Flute Ensemble.

She earned her Bachelor of Music degrees in education and flute performance and Masters of Arts in Teaching from Hastings College and has received training in the Suzuki Flute Method. Along with being principal flute with the Hastings Symphony Orchestra, she has performed as a soloist with them ten times. Deb has served as an adjudicator in Nebraska, Texas and Kansas and maintains an active flute studio with students winning state, regional and national competitions.

As an active member of the National Flute Association, she has performed seven times with the Professional Flute Choir at annual conventions and has served on the pedagogy committee for the past eight years.

Outside of the music department, Deb teaches Foundations in Personal Finance and is an advocate for student financial wellness. She has received Financial Coach Master Training through Ramsey Solutions in Tennessee.
