U.S. News & World Report ranks Hastings College 15th among Midwest colleges

(Hastings, Neb.) – Hastings College ranks 15th out of 99 colleges in the Midwest reviewed and ranked in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 Best Colleges edition.

The high ranking from U.S. News & World Report comes just weeks after the College received high marks from Washington Monthly and The Princeton Review.

Among the criteria heavily ranked by U.S. News & World Report are faculty resources and peer assessments. Faculty resources include data such as small average class sizes and faculty with the highest degree in their field. Peer assessments include data from college administrators and high school guidance counselors.

"It is exciting for Hastings College to receive another high ranking by a nationally-respected organization,” said Don Jackson ‘70, President of Hastings College. “It is particularly nice to see our faculty recognized for their excellence. Their efforts help students achieve success and go on to do great things. With the record-breaking incoming first year class and the other national awards we have received this year, we have a strong foundation for continued excellence."

Founded in 1882, Hastings College is a private, four-year liberal arts institution located in Hastings, Nebraska, that focuses on student academic and extracurricular achievement.
