Renovations in Babcock include:

- New paint and carpet throughout
Babcock is a three-story residence hall for women who are very fun, very lively and very active on campus. Rooms in Babcock tend to be a little larger than other dorm rooms on campus. Residents participate in sports, sororities and many other on-campus activities.
Most rooms are 15'6" x 13'7" (210 sq. ft.), although there are one or two rooms per floor that are slightly smaller.
Babcock Hall is air conditioned and includes the free use high efficiency washers and dryers (no begging for quarters!). You'll also find lounges and common areas with comfy couches and chairs and large-screen TVs for hanging out with friends. There's wifi throughout, access to kitchen space and if you have pressing issues, there are irons and ironing boards.
Rooms in Babcock include:
- Extra-long twin beds (36 inches by 80 inches); beds can be lofted, bunked or left down
- Two dressers
- Two desk chairs
- Two desks
Meet the Residence Director at Babcock
History with Hastings College:
I attended Hastings College and graduated with a double major in Human Services Administration and Criminal Justice. I've been a Graduate Assistant for the past year and a half in the Learning Center and an RA for a year in the Bronco Village Apartments. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Special Education (K-12).
How would you describe your dorm and its residents?
The residents in my dorm seem to be a diverse group of girls that are involved in many different activities. I'm excited to get to know the residents better and become more familiar with Babcock Hall this fall.
What is your favorite thing about Hastings College?
I love the tight-knit community that is at Hastings College. It's a welcoming school with friendly people. It is a great place to make connections with professors and other students.
What is your favorite thing to do in Hastings?
I like spending time with my friends, studying at the coffee shops in town, feeding the ducks at Heartwell Park, and occasionally checking out the stores downtown.
What are your hobbies and interests?
I like being outdoors, going on long jogs, reading, playing with animals, and spending time with my family.
What is your favorite movie of all-time?
My favorite movie is "Rumor Has It."
When you have had roommates, what quality or trait did you most appreciate?
My past roommates had many qualities that I greatly appreciated. I loved how upbeat, positive, and funny my roommates were. They were all very caring girls and most importantly great friends.
If you could have any superpower as a residence director, what would it be?
If I could any superpower as a resident director, I would want to have the power to instantly cure the sick. I remember how awful it was getting the flu in the dorms, such a terrible experience!!!
