Dr. Amy Morris

Professor of Biology
Morrison-Reeves Science Center

Dr. Morris teaches courses in botany, ecology, conservation biology and introductory biology.

Her Ph.D. in biology with an emphasis in plant ecology was earned at Idaho State University. She earned a master's degree in biology from Marshall University and a bachelor's degree from Bethany College, W.Va.

Dr. Morris joined the Hastings College faculty in 2001. She was awarded the Polished Apple Award for excellence in teaching and has published papers with Hastings College undergraduate biology majors.

Dr. Morris has led travel tours during J-Term to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and safari in Tanzania as well as to study the diversity and development of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Her next travel tour to northern India is scheduled for J-Term 2011.
