Carter directs the Center for Vocation, Faith & Service, the Christian Ministry Program, and coordinates the CVFS office and faculty. He is ordained in the Disciples of Christ tradition with graduate degrees from Duke and the University of Notre Dame. He specializes in Christian Ethics and actively publishes in that area.
Carter is never happier than when he’s at a dinner table talking with students about their faith and vocation. He treasures chances to share in the faith journeys of his students and colleagues, and is passionate about building bridges between college, church, and community. When he’s not at work, you can find Carter at home with his wife, Diane, or engaging in one of his two favorite pass-times: ice hockey and woodworking.
