Hastings College Indoor Golf Facility

For this growing team, booking regular practice times has become more challenging than landing a ticket to The Masters. Since Skyler Good ’19 took over as Head Coach in the Spring 2021 season, the Hastings College Bronco Men’s and Women’s Golf program has grown to 39 student-athletes. The current makeshift indoor area accommodates only four students at once.

For Bronco golfers seeking to hone their skills yearound, having an indoor golf facility will be a game-changer. The facility will be located within the former Art Department facilities within the Kiewit Building.

Alumni investment will drive the Hastings College Bronco Golf indoor golf facility’s components. Your gift will benefit the men’s and women’s teams.

Bogey Level – Starts at $100 from 255 alumni

Alumni Investment + Investment from Friends of Bronco Golf = $50,000

One Uneekor simulator
Two hitting bays with no tracking technology

Notes from Coach Good: This would allow for a few more players to get practice in at one time, but also limited on what we can do with just the one simulator. Hitting into nets will only go so far in the game of golf. With the number of students on the roster it would take a long time to get through 40 student-athletes having a true range session, seeing their ball flight and looking at numbers. A good range session should take an hour. This would only be a slight step forward from what we had previously.

Par Level – Starts at $250 from 255 alumni

Notes from Coach Good: This would be getting closer to some of our peers and greatest competition as to what they have available to them. This would allow several players on the simulator, while having a few hit balls to warm up or roll putts until it is their turn on the simulator.

Birdie Level – Starts at $500 from 255 golf alumni

Notes from Coach Good: This level would allow for the maximum usability of the space. Our previous room we could have no more than 4 student-athletes at once without feeling claustrophobic. This set up would allow up to 15+ athletes to be able to practice at one time. With the Spring season being our championship season and our geographical location this would put us ahead of our competition right out of the gate in the Spring, rather than searching for our game the first tournament or two. On top of all this, having a facility to this magnitude at the NAIA level will bring a TON of attention to future recruits looking to play collegiate golf.

Leaderboard – Starts at $10,000

Gifts of $10,000 or more will be celebrated with naming rights at the facility.
