Amy Skalka is a partner/attorney with Skalka & Baack Law Firm, L.L.C. in Hastings, where she dedicates a great deal of her practice to helping children and families who are struggling in the community. Skalka graduated summa cum laude from Hastings College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and human services administration and a minor in sociology. She received her Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln.
In addition to her practice, Skalka is a member of the Mary Lanning Healthcare Foundation Board, chair of the Adams County Mental Health Board, president of the Adams County Bar Association, board member of the Commission on Unauthorized Practice of Law and Nebraska Lawyers Trust Account Foundation and regional coordinator for the Nebraska High School Mock Trial Competition.
In their spare time, Skalka and her husband, Josh Yost, a 1998 Hastings College alumnus, love to travel. Skalka also enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
