Jon Mires is a 1998 graduate of Hastings College. He is the Director of Regional Recruitment and is based out of Colorado.
Why I chose to attend Hastings College:
I wanted to be on a college campus where I could not just be a number. I wanted to have a personal relationship with faculty and staff acorss campus.
Hobbies and Interests:
I love being outdoors and I spend lots of time watching my boys in their activities. I also enjoy camping and playing golf.
Favorite thing about Hastings College:
The size and personal connection you have with your faculty and peers.
Favorite place on campus:
My favorites place on campus is the Osborne Family Sports complex. I love to watch the Broncos compete.
Most memorable class:
It’s been a bit since I was in class on campus but my favorite classes were my marketing classes taught by Dr. Meyer.
Favorite thing to do in Hastings:
I enjoy a walk around Heartwell park and attending Hastings College events.
Favorite place to eat in Hastings:
I love the original Big Dally’s Deli downtown!
Best thing about being a Bronco:
I had a memorable four years at Hastings and today, while working with students and families, I love being able to share my experience. I hope that many others get to have the college experience that I did.
Hidden talent:
It’s not hidden but most outside of my family don’t see it. I love to cook (but not bake!)
Best meal that I can cook:
Chicken thighs on my smoker are some of the best things you will ever eat. You’re welcome anytime!
