HC Cares

Hastings College has made a commitment to work toward a campus that is free from all discrimination and that celebrates the diversity of its various community members. To maintain this commitment, Hastings College has established a HC Cares Team.

All members of the Hastings College community have a right to an education or work environment that cares about who they are as an individual. Therefore, Hastings College is committed to achieving fairness and equity in all aspects of the educational experience and therefore prohibits sex/gender based harassment, discrimination and sexual misconduct, as defined in the HC Cares policy.

The College is also committed to equal opportunity employment and education and will not tolerate discrimination based on an individual’s race, sex, religion, color, national origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, age, gender identity or sexual orientation, genetic characteristics or information, or any other basis prohibited by law.

All members of the College’s community are subject to this policy, including but not limited to students, faculty, administrators, trustees, staff, coaches and independent contractors, as well as others who participate in College programs and activities, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The HC Cares Team is composed of staff and faculty who ensure a thorough process is in place to stop the behavior, remedy the situations that arise and prevent future occurrences from happening on our campus.
