The Hastings College chapter of Alpha Chi, the all-discipline collegiate academic honor society, inducted eight students recently.

The purpose of Alpha Chi is to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction. Students from all academic disciplines in the top 10 percent of their class are invited to join.
This spring’s Alpha Chi inductees are listed below.
- Sam Bax of Bonnots Mill, Missouri, is a junior majoring in business administration.
- Macy Bryant of Fremont, Nebraska, is a junior majoring in political science and Spanish.
- Maggie deFreese of Holdredge, Nebraska, is a sophomore majoring in music education.
- Abby Fielder of Hastings, Nebraska, is a junior majoring in physics.
- Andrew Heckman of Hastings, Nebraska, is a junior majoring in accounting and finance.
- Bailey Kissinger of Glenvil, Nebraska, is a junior majoring in health systems.
- Ember Thoreson of Crystal Lake, Illinois, is a junior majoring in communication studies.
- Maggie Wohl of Crete, Nebraska, is a junior majoring in elementary education.
