Amanda Cargile, a Hastings College senior from Devine, Texas, finished second in individual sweepstakes during the 2013 Broncolope Swing, a forensics tournament hosted by Hastings College and the University of Nebraska-Kearney on November 16-17. With her teammate Miranda Klugesherz’s fourth place finish in Prose Interpretation, the Hastings College Forensics team added yet another event qualified for the American Forensics Association-National Individual Events Tournament (AFA-NIET). Klugsherz is a junior from Colorado Springs, Colo.
Following the college’s Thanksgiving Break, the Bronco Forensics team will complete its fall semester schedule by competing at Outer Limits Swing held in Kearney, Neb., on December 6-7.

The Hastings College Bronco Forensics team has continued a long-running tradition of national competitive success, placing in the top 20 at the American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament (AFA-NIET) for most of the past ten years, including 16th at AFA 2012 in San Marcos, Texas, and 18th at AFA 2011 in Kearney, Neb.
