At the 2015 American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament (AFA-NIET), the Hastings College Bronco Forensics team finished 25th in the country. This year’s national tournament was the largest in history with more than 1500 events, showcased by more than 700 competitors from the across the nation.
Eunice Adounkpe, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, beat out more than 200 competitors to advance to quarterfinals in Prose Interpretation. Additionally, Miranda Klugesherz, a senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Sierra Walker, a senior from Gering, Nebraska, were two of only 12 competitors to receive All-American Individual Events honors from AFA. They join nine former Broncos who also hold that honor. Hastings College holds the record for second-most All Americans in the nation.
The team will begin the 2015-16 season July 1.
