Fifty years ago, Title IX, which championed equality for both women and men in education and and athletics, became law.
To recognize and celebrate the progress, and acknowledge the work still to do for women in sports, four of our head coaches recently recorded a few thoughts. Women’s wrestling coach Cara Romeike, women’s basketball coach Jina Douglas, volleyball coach Alex Allard and women’s soccer coach Jade Ovendale talk about the impact Title IX has had on their careers and women’s sports in general.
