Hastings College is hosting a Republican primary debate for the Third Congressional District on Wednesday, March 28 in French Memorial Chapel. The debate begins at 6:30 and will last for one hour. It is free and open to the public.
The debate will include Adrian Smith, Kirk Penner, Larry Bolinger and Arron Kowalski, all Third District candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives. Rep. Smith is the incumbent, having been first elected to the House in 2006.
The first half of the debate will be aired live on NTV, while the the entire debate plus post-debate analysis will be livestreamed on the station’s website, nebraska.tv, and Facebook page (facebook.com/ntvnews).
Dennis Kellogg, news director of NET, will be the moderator, with Dr. Robert Amyot, a political science professor at Hastings College, serving as a political analyst for NTV’s pre- and post-debate coverage. Radio station KGFW is also partnering in the debate.
A portion of the questions will come from the audience members and online viewers via NTV’s social channels.
