At the Great Plains Students’ Psychology Convention held March 13-14, 2015, Hastings College students presented the project which earned first place for an oral presentation.
Jocelyn Delgado of Brighton, Colorado; Mirae Nakouzi of North Platte, Nebraska; Maddie Sharp of Omaha, Nebraska; and Melissa Burke of Denver, Colorado, presented their research, entitled “Does Type of Activity Impact the Positive Effect of Nature on Students’ Attention and Mood?”
The psychology majors completed this undergraduate research under the direction of Dr. Stephanie Furrer, Associate Professor of Psychology at Hastings College.
The convention was held at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
