Dr. Laura S. Logan, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Hastings College, recently published an article in Sociology Compass, Vol. 9, Issue 3. Her article, entitled “Street Harassment: Current and Promising Avenues for Researchers and Activists,” explores the growing anti-street harassment movement and research into the field.
“Many people underestimate how common, controlling, and harmful street harassment is for individuals and for society as a whole,” said Dr. Logan, now in her second year at Hastings College. “In this article, I argue that activists are working hard to end street harassment and that researchers should also focus on street harassment so that people better understand this social problem and its serious consequences.”
