Hastings College student journalists earned 80 Golden Leaf awards from Nebraska Collegiate Media Association. HCTV, the student-run television station, was named 1st in Best Overall Excellence for Television, earning more than twice as many points as its closest competitor. In Best Overall Excellence for Radio, the student-run KFKX finished 2nd while HCMediaOnline also earned 2nd place honors in the Outstanding Digital Media category. The Collegian, one of the oldest student media outlets on campus, was 3rd in the Newspaper category.
